[New Era of EV AC Charging] '100% Dedicated Charging' Space Emerges... 'Charging Tower' Draws Attention
As Korea's cumulative EV registrations exceeded 600,000 in the first half of this year, the industry shows keen interest in creating 100% EV charging spaces within buildings. Following the example of IGIS Asset Management's 'Factorial Seongsu' office building in Seoul's Seongsu-dong, where the entire B2 parking area is equipped with both AC and DC charging capabilities, Korean company EVOG has now developed a dedicated solution for constructing charging-only towers. EVOG Obtains Top-Level Certification for EV Charger Type Approval
EV charging specialist EVOG announced on the 30th that it has become Korea's first company to achieve Class 0.5 accuracy rating - the highest grade in EV charger type approval - from Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL). EVOG's charger is the only one in Korea equipped with both V2G and fire prevention solutions. This type approval recognition of superior metering performance, combined with fire prevention certification, makes EVOG the only domestic manufacturer to hold both certifications simultaneously.
